Or Matza is a global pioneer in 3D narrative audio. In 2020, he developed a groundbreaking production method—the first of its kind worldwide—combining binaural on-location recording with unique equipment and an innovative spatial approach to capturing narrative scenes.
Matza co-founded Audio Drama Studios alongside his partner, Alexa Lerner. The studio produces cutting-edge narrative audio experiences for leading global entities, including audio series, immersive audio tours, and site-specific audio experiences.
In 2021, he won the Promax Gold Award for The Hive, the world’s first audio series created using 3D sound technology recorded on location. In 2023, under his leadership, Audio Drama Studios produced Google’s official audio experience, a narrative-driven audio tour of Google offices worldwide. In 2025, his series Altalena: Two Perspectives, which he wrote and directed, was featured at the International Audio Drama Festival in the UK.
A certified sound engineer with a rich background in theater music, film and television soundtrack design, Matza is a regular lecturer at the prestigious IDF Radio Journalism Course and conducts international seminars on his innovative production techniques. In 2025, he was appointed as a jury member at the International Radio Drama Festival in Canterbury UK.
His latest work – the audio series “October Six” has been announced as part of the Shortlists for the 2025 New York Radio Festival.
Alexa Lerner is the founder and co-producer of Audio Drama Studios. With a rich background in drama and theater as an actress, she presents an innovative vision of audio as a dramatic medium, creating deeply immersive audio experiences that push the boundaries of storytelling.
As the leader of content scouting and future world-building at the studio, Lerner is responsible for identifying groundbreaking narratives and developing innovative audio storytelling concepts.
With expertise in project management, field production and casting, Lerner has co-created internationally acclaimed productions, including The Hive (Gold Award winner at the 2021 Promax Festival), There’s Someone Else in the Room—the world’s first audio thriller designed to be experienced in total darkness, Altalena: Two Perspectives (nominated at the UK International Audio Drama Festival), and the Google Audio Experience, an experiential audio tour of Google offices worldwide.
